Walsh Ranch is a small community of 238 homes in northwest Round Rock, surrounded by several other pleasant, master-planned suburban neighborhoods. The community is named for the Walsh family, one of Round Rock’s prominent early families, who owned the ranch land upon which the neighborhood now stands. Brushy Creek North is a small, family-friendly community just outside of the Round Rock city limits, but within the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. It is a part of the larger Brushy Creek area of western Round Rock that is made up of several neighborhoods named after the creek running through it. Homes in Brushy Creek North were generally built in the late 1970s through the 1980s on large lots, some over half an acre, some over a full acre.
